This is a Racing Travel Bug

GA Kepec is competing in The Great Gnome Race Around the USA against 8 crazy Gnomes. Please move GA Kepec, even if it is only to the next cache around the corner. Please be kind to GA Kepec and her owner TRAM by not holding onto the travel bug but by keeping him moving. Please DO NOT take GA Kepec out of the USA! Thank you!

Ready to Race!

GA Kepec's Mission:

To race around the continental USA visiting 5 of the 8 different man made wonders and have her picture taken at each site for verification.

Mount Rushmore, SD
Hoover Dam, AZ NV
Golden Gate Bridge, CA
The Cloud Gate, Chicago IL
The Gateway Arch, MO
The Boeing Aircraft Assembly Plant, WA


when she has 5 of the 8 she needs to return to Ye Olde 41 Travel Bug Motel in Kennesaw, GA to claim her prize and be retrieved by her owner TRAM.

Rules:

1. GA Kepec may visit any man made Wonder at any given time, in any order.

2. GA Kepec must be photographed as close to the natural wonder as humanly possible, without trespassing of course. The  wonder's name along with GA Kepec must be legible in the digital picture(s). The photo(s) must be uploaded to your log in order for GA Kepec to get credit for the natural wonder visit.

3. GA Kepec must physically be put into a cache. No electronic "drop-ins" allowed. Someone else has to retrieve the bug after cache placement. Only 1 wonder visit allowed per cacher/team. Any other wonders visited by the same cacher/team will not count!

4. This is a US-based travel bug race only. 

5. Once GA Kepec has reached the 5th man made Wonder she must make her way back to Ye Olde 41 Travel Bug Motel.

Strange things are happening with this travel bug. I was contacted by vasquezgeoseekers as they were not able to pickup or drop this bug.

Strange as everything was OK with the previous cacher.

Now, KasheTeamJohnson has contacted me requesting the TB number, which against my better judgement I provided.

Noiw SCE_T-roy post a entry stating they cannot log this travel bug.

Something strange is happening and I'll be requesting Groundspeak look into this matter.

I have no idea of the status of this travel bug so I have taken control of it.

It's a sad day for geocaching that stuff like this happens.

I have the tag for 2k4j00 attached to this TB. I think someone mixed them up. I put a note on the other TB so if someone has that one to contact me so we can straiten this out. Bad luck too cause I was going to Las Vegas tomorrow and I wanted to take this bug and drop it off down their. Unless you want to send me the correct numbers and I'll use my label maker to adjust this tag... ???

For some reason this travel bug would not log that we claimed it out of central california and took it to the mojave desert. Hopefully someone will pick it up on it's way to hoover dam.. Even though it is roughin it in the mojave desert I guarantee it is "roughin it smoothly"!

Retrieved from "SMF TB Hotel" (GC158FF) near Sacramento International Airport. Will move along south as there's usually a lot of geocachers heading to the Vegas area... heck, we visited Hoover Dam back in March and cached throughout the area.
