I was both surprised and very pleased when I discovered that geocache "What A View" was hidden at the VDOT Worker's Monument as it was not all that long ago I submitted the location as a waymark.

Not only was the view enjoyable when looking out towards the valley and mountains in the distance, but the field of day lilies in front of the monument itself was incredible to see.

I find it appropriate that the "Have Faith" geocache marks my return to the sport of geocaching -- especially since I was in the neighborhood photographing a swim meet not all that far away.

After several months of not seeking, I have been feeling the itch to begin again as not only does the adventure of it appeal to me, but the physical exercise is very much needed to keep my heart healthy.

When I went out to find this one, I was not really sure what to expect as trails come in all shapes and sizes.

I found this one very well maintained and easy to walk ... a place I could happily take my almost 3-year-old daughter.

This is why I enjoy the sport so much ... Finding places like this one.

A special thank you to those who hid and maintain this cache as it was an honor and joy to find this one.

Sidenote ... This place reminded me a bit of an old orchard.
