This travel bug is being closely monitored by a third grade class in Greenfield, WI. The goal of this bug is to travel to as many different types of climates as possible. If you can provide our bug with a different ecological experience, please take it for a ride! Please jot down some basic facts about the climate and area in which the bug currently resides: What is the normal temperature there? Is there a lot of precipitation? Is there anything unique or outstanding about the weather in this region? What is the bug's current elevation (off your GPS)? It would be wonderful if you have some of these answers, but if you don't, it's okay; just keep it traveling! We'd love to see pictures of you with the bug in its current surroundings....

The weather in the Skagit Valley? Today, very wet! Had to rescue TB from a soggy cache (have to say I'm a little soggy as well). Here in Washington State we're used to the occasional rain. Weather man says it's 62 degrees with 94% humidity. Elevation is currently 767 feet. Thanks for my first travel bug! I'll try and get it a little further down the line back to Wisconsin.

This T.B. won't spend much time in the memorial cache.

I thought I would take this T.B. up to the Skagit Valley to see the tulip field which are in full bloom right now. I will be dropping it off soon.

Dropped off in a cache in Bellevue WA. (Who needs snow to go sledding? - GCGMCW) As you may or may not know, Bellevue is just east of Seattle and has a very moderate climate. It doesn't typically get too hot nor too cold. Winter temperatures rarely get to below freezing and summer temperatures rarely get above 85 degrees. It rains here often, but rarely does it rain heavily. This is because we are on the western slopes of the Cascade mountain range and the moisture from the north pacific ocean builds up in front of the range which causes the precipitation. The elevation of the bug is about 600 feet above sea level. We will post a picture if we can which shows the lush forest that it is in right now. This forest has tall cedar and douglas fir trees of between 100 and 150 feet in height. It is cool in this forest even on a hot day. It is unlikely that the bug will get too hot here. If it is a bug that likes Wisconsin weather, it may want to move east, fast because the weather is not like Wisconsin!
