A Walk with Webfoot follows Webfoot as he goes about his geocaching odyssey.
When I first discovered geocaching, back in March, 2001, I wondered how I could keep track of this new obsession of mine. Then I discovered how easy it would be to create a personal travel bug and this is the result. A Walk with Webfoot was created to follow the path that I take as I journey mostly around the state of California with a couple of sojourns outside the state, while geocaching along the way.
I also have a blog entitled Webfoot Wanderings, which is where I get to run off the mouth about a variety of things that I like to do, mostly photography, but occasionally I'll write about geocaching and other GPS games as well. Feel free to participate in any kind of dialog you want there. As one of my friends in his own blog states, "I don't bite."
You could look at this as my on-line blog of my successful geocaching experiences. I'll place this in caches of my own when I go out on maintenence runs as well. Hey, if I find my own, that's a success, isn't it?

I have a modest found streak and I thought I'd like to see how long this one will go before life gets in the way. So I came down here for a daily find. I parked the geo mobile up the street from here and made a short walk down. Was a little confused at first because my assumption was that it was going to be over there, but when I saw where the GPSr was pointing it all made sense. A quick and easy grab this morning.

Next one on the list. I walked over here from the other one and wasn't able to locate it right away even though I checked out that spot. Just hadn't felt or seen it the first time around. While talking on the phone, I ended up being at the right angle and spotted the cache. Signed in and replaced as found.

I saw these publish, but didn't go out to look for them right away because I had other things on my agenda at the time. Today, after getting a Batman Star Wars cache, felt like a good day to head up here and check these two new ones out.
I ended up solving them in reverse order since I came upon them that way as I drove, but once I figured out where the two of them were, I ended up closer to this one first. I walked in from the west, got to the good coordinates and spotted the same thing Larry the Pool Guy saw and soon had the cache in hand. Took me longer to get the log sheet out of the baggie than it did to find the cache.

It's becoming somewhat of a broken record, but I wanted to fill in a calendar date that was open for Letterbox hybrid finds, so I came out here. Three new ones back here. No parking near the first one, security guard's car sitting pretty much at the second one and empty here at the third one, so I picked this one. Found the cache in a little bit different spot than all the other Star Wars ones, but a finds a find.

After finding one of the Nano caches, I decided to come over here. Yeah, well, that was an interesting experience getting from point A over here to point B. I started out only .4 away from the cache, but ended up driving down and around, getting as far away at 1.7 miles before finally finding a way in to find the cache. Hint really helped narrow down where to look on this one and soon I was signing in on the log sheet. This is definitely higher than a 1.5 terrain.
