A Walk with Webfoot follows Webfoot as he goes about his geocaching odyssey.

About This Item

When I first discovered geocaching, back in March, 2001, I wondered how I could keep track of this new obsession of mine. Then I discovered how easy it would be to create a personal travel bug and this is the result. A Walk with Webfoot was created to follow the path that I take as I journey mostly around the state of California with a couple of sojourns outside the state, while geocaching along the way.

I also have a blog entitled Webfoot Wanderings, which is where I get to run off the mouth about a variety of things that I like to do, mostly photography, but occasionally I'll write about geocaching and other GPS games as well. Feel free to participate in any kind of dialog you want there. As one of my friends in his own blog states, "I don't bite."

You could look at this as my on-line blog of my successful geocaching experiences. I'll place this in caches of my own when I go out on maintenence runs as well. Hey, if I find my own, that's a success, isn't it?

K6ccc and I had been down in Escondido and Vista today finding a San Diego County CASC cache and a bunch of challenge caches to bump up our numbers. We were heading for home, but decided it would probably be a good idea to stop here and take advantage of the facilities.

Once done, we wandered over and made quick work of the cache.

Earlier today, I found the 10th different CASC letterbox cache for the Spring Fling happening at the beginning of May, so I was pretty sure I would be qualified for this one. Yeah, I don't shy away from letterbox caches and I'm working on filling my calendar grid with them. I now have 215 different dates filled.

Webfoot has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

"Find at least 1 Letterbox in 25 US Counties." Qualifying 36 / 25, PASSED

I agree with NCad to a certain extent. If you've played this game for a long enough time and have a higher amount of finds, then you're bound to find some large caches that will help fill your calendar. I believe the D/T on this is about right because I actually think that finding large caches in general is kind of tough as not too many people are hiding them as they are hard to keep from being muggled.

I've found a Calendar with 85 days filled with LARGE size caches. on 99 different days of year

This is another one of those challenges where I was surprised that I had as many as I did. I'm glad that I qualify for this one as I'm not sure where I'd go to find more teamwork caches.
