CZ: Pplk. Josef Talab In memoriam se narodil 16.7.1909 v Hruskach. Po zakladni vojenske sluzbe zustal u ceskoslovenske armady. Po okupaci se v Hranicich seznamil s dustojniky, kteri mu pomohli s odchodem do zahranici. V lete 1939 se dostal pres Moravskou Ostravu do Polska, v Krakove vstoupil do francouzske cizinecke legie. Pres Alzir se dostal do Francie, po jeji kapitulaci do Anglie, kde se prihlasil k letectvu. Po vycviku byl zarazen jako radiotelegrafista-strelec k 311. ceskoslovenske bombardovaci peruti v East Wrethamu. V noci ze 14. na 15. dubna 1942 se vydal na svuj jednadvacaty bojovy let, pri bombardovani Dortmundu byl Wellington Mk. IC Z1098 (KX-U) nekolikrat zasazen protiletadlovym delostrelectvem, levy motor vypovedel sluzbu. Nad Holandskem poskozeny letoun objevil nocni stihac oblt. Siegfried Wandam a sestrelil jej. Zritil se u obce Boshoven, nedaleko mesta Weert. Tri clenove posadky zahynuli a jsou pohrbeni na mestskem hrbitove v Eidhovenu-Woensal, v sekcu JJ, hrobu 48 – 50. Zbyli tri clenove padli do zajeti ve kterem se dozili konce valky. Pozustalost po Josefu Talabovi i jine exponaty muzete shlednout v restauraci Aircafe Brno

EN: Lieutenant colonel Josef Talab In memoriam was born on 16.07.1909 in Hrusky. After his basic army service he became member of the Czechoslovak army. After occupation he managed to go abroad. In summer 1939 he went through Ostrava to Poland and he entered the French Foreign Legion in Krakow. He went to France through Algeria and after French cappitulation he went to England and entered to the Airforce. He started as a radiotelegraphist-gunman in the 311. Czechoslovak bomber squadron in East Wretham. In the night 14./15. April 1942 he set out his 21. mission. When bombing Dortmund, his Wellington Mk. IC Z1098 (KX-U) was hit several times and the left engine broke down. Above Netherlands was the Wellington shot down by a nightfighter oblt. Siegfried Wandam. It fell close to the town Weert. Three members of the cabine crew died and they have been burried in the town cemetery of Eidhoven-Woensal, in JJ section, grave No. 48 – 50. Other three members fell to  captivity where  they met the end of the WW II.
