This is BB's 17 cache.
It is estimated that Bilston's Tree was a seedling around 1200 A.D. - around the same time that King John signed the Magna Carta. By the time European settlers had reached this area, the tree would have been quite large.
By the middle of the 20th Century, the 'Big Tree' had become quite a well known local landmark.
In 1962, the tree was to be felled for railway sleepers. A campaign was formed to save the tree, and was successful. In 1963, the Bilston's Tree Reserve was established.
Bilston's tree is the largest River Red Gum in the world.
A very easy find. Please make sure that the cache is well hidden before you leave.
