This cache is near the boundary creek rest area on the shore of Lake Wanaka. It is just beside the Haast highway.
The rest area is sheltered from the Nor West wind so is a pleasant spot to take a rest from your journey. The entrance is about 350 – 400 metres south east of Boundary Creek. The cache site has a place to park and have a picnic.
The container is a 1l camo painted snap lock container which when placed contained the following:
insulation tape
maze game
felt pens
water pistol
sellotape dispenser
whistle
cow
pig
cockroach
and other bits and pieces
