Our family built a bach here in the 1930's, it remained until the mid 1960's.
Because it was built in the depression era the budget would have been pretty low.
The exterior cladding was flattened drums.
The bach is long gone now and no trace is left. From the cache site look NW towards a small grassy covered mound, the bach was sited halfway between these points.Lots of snapper were caught in the channell directly in front of the bach. This was also a popular spot for waterskiing. In the 1930's the roadbridge was not there and you had to take horse and cart through the estuary- how things have changed.
Continue down to Hunter Browns reserve and the cache there. Also there is a cache on Rabbit Island.
Please ensure the cache is well covered when you leave.
