Geocache Description:

The beauteous yesterday
is fading away like a blushed twilight
Though nothing can bring back
the hours of sweet treasured past
I will grieve not
but rather find splendor
in the memories.

Don't panic if this sounds a bit strange - we Geopiggies have idea what this means either! It will become clearer when you find the cache, but only slightly so!!!

'Splendor is in the Memories' is a 'Newbie Cache' (Newbie V2.0 now!). This means that, if you fit our definition of a 'newbie' cacher, we'd like you to log your find on this cache twice. Specifically, if you have less than 30 'Found' caches to your name, you should make two 'found it' logs on this cache when you find it. Note in your note which one you'd like removed when your 'found' count exceeds 30 caches, and we'll remove the extra one, or you can do it yourself - whatever!!! (If you don't fit our definition of a 'Newbie', then log your find once as you would normally log any other cache.)

Anyway... on with the show...

The Geopiggies fifth cache, 'Splendor is in the Memories' is in the same type of container as our fourth, 'Return of the Pig-I'. It isn't particularly hidden, and once you're within a few metres of the cache, you should be able to see it easily.

There are at least three (and probably more) different angles to approach this cache from, but there's no particular need to deviate from established trails until the last 15-20 metres. In fact, an attempt to straight-line it from whatever car-park or bus stop you choose may well be your undoing.

Some may find this cache to be a bit heavy-going, terrain-wise. It won't require superhuman strength, but it's not on level ground either.

If you have time, take in the waterfalls at 33 48.892E, 151 12.478S, and maybe take a moment to read the blurb and thank Eric for his efforts at 33 48.804E, 151 12.419S - finding this cache would be a damn sight harder is if wasn't for him! Parts of this 'bush' appear pretty man-made, and artificial, but overall, it's not a bad effort for a giant stormwater drain!

When sitting at home with nothing to do, Geopiggies choose to browse Engrish.com!
