This is one of the more scenic back roads in Nairne, with lovely views (especially at sunset), cows, goats, a Bush for Life corridor, lovely old Eucalypts and some large pines, which I suspect have something to do with the road name! A pair of Wedge Tailed Eagles can often be spotted circling nearby. If you're keen, it's a nice uphill walk from the North Rd end, and then it's even more fun to jog back down again!
GZ is one of my favourite things on this road, and possibly one of the oldest things as well. It's seen some hardship but it battles on. You shouldn't need to remove any part of GZ to locate the cache, which is a small partially camouflaged sistema. Please be gentle with it, and pop it back so that it's camouflaged, keeping it fun for the next finders! There are some small trinkets inside for swaps, plus a log and a pencil.
Please take it slowly on the dirt road in the dry weather, the surface is good but loose, and can be slippery around the curves. The locals sometimes take it pretty fast, but are likely pull up and offer assistance if they encounter you wandering around at GZ!
