This patch of ground has seen some big changes over the years. From natural bushland, the area was developed into one of Adelaide's early brickworks as there were large clay deposits here. After the brickworks closed the huge empty pug hole was used as a council rubbish tip till the 1970s.
The area is now known as Geroge street reserve and is a great place for kids to run and play, to walk the dog, or sit and listen to the many birds.
Watch out for muggles, this reserve is very popular in the evenings and early mornings.
