Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the original location of the Eastern Golf Club.

The Eastern Golf Club was opened at this location in 1924 and operated for approximately 90 years, until the club relocated in 2015, to the Yarra Valley, and sold the land for $100 million, to be turned into the current residential development.

All the trees in this area a preserved from the golf course.

You may see the heritage listed Tullamore Homestead when traveling to this cache. It was originally built in 1886-87 for surgeon Sir Thomas Naughton Fitzgerald, and is one of the oldest building in the Doncaster area.

There are some excellent playgrounds in this development. This geocache is located near one of these playgrounds, which geo-families may enjoy visiting either before or after searching for the cache.

The cache is a magnetic eppy nano geocache, so bring your own pen.
