Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current geocaching guidelines.

If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Please stick to the paths and enter from the beach or from the carpark to avoid entering private property. You can have a nice walk along the beach and a bush walk. Enjoy your time in the dunes but make sure to leave your fury friends at home for this trip.Moana Sands Conservation Park is a significant Aboriginal cultural heritage site. The park's coastal sand dunes are very important in the cultural traditions of the Kaurna people who made their summer camp in the dunes next to Pedlar Creek. Many archaeological artefacts, including burial sites, hearths and shell middens - some dating back more than 6000 years - have been found where the overlying sand has blown away. Although a long history of sand mining, farming and recreational activities has impacted on the landscape and native vegetation of the park, you can still enjoy opportunities to observe the reptiles and birdlife that call the low coastal vegetation their home. Look out for painted dragons, skinks, honeyeaters, brown goshawks, dotterels and the rare hooded plover. Opening hours Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
