Speaking of two towers, that reminds me of a story. Sit back and I'll tell you a tale. In J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy stories The Lord of the Rings, the two towers were watchtowers located either side of a large black gate at the border of the dark land of Mordor at the haunted Pass of Cirth Gorgor.
In the early days of Gondor, after Sauron's first defeat, the Gondorians built two watchtowers at the entrance to the pass, to guard Gondor and prevent the return of Sauron's servants. They failed, and the watchtowers fell under the control of Sauron. The towers became known in the Middle Earth tongues as Carchost and Narchost, the Towers of the Teeth, the Teeth of Mordor, the Towers of the Black Gate, and the Watch-towers of Morannon. When the Black Gate was built between the towers they formed a gateway into the land of Mordor.
Imagine you were a hobbit from the Shire trying to get into Gondor to destroy the One Ring. You reach GZ, but your courage fails you and this is the closest you dare approach the Black Gate. The watch-towers can be seen in the distance above the trees. Signing this cache's log will give you strength to continue your journey.
This is a Regular-sized screw-top plastic container. The cache contains a log, a pen and a pencil, a FTF card prize and some swag.
Please watch out for snakes during times of long grass and warm weather.
Melton has two towers. They're tall, dark sculptural decorations in the centre of the Clarkes Road/Bulmans Road overpass across the Western Freeway. This cache is hidden among bushes on the west side of the Coburns Road ramp. Don't park on the road.
