< Water Wheel and Masugata >
Walking into Magome-juku from the west, you will soon turn left and be required to climb the slope named "Kurumaya-zaka." The original street, however, was stone stairs on your left. Most of the tourists climb the slope, but I recommend the stairs. In the middle of the stone stairs, you'll enjoy an old water wheel that adds nice and quaint atmostphere to this old post-station town.
There are two bends in the street; one at the entrance and the other in the midst of stone-stairs. This sort of bends (=right-angle corners) in the street of post-station towns are called "Masugata," which were intentionally installed so that the main part of the town -- that is Honjin and its neighborhood -- cannot be seen straight from the outside of the town for security reason.

The cache is placed somewhere near the upper part of stone-stairs. This area is very crowded with tourists all the time. So please carefully examine the hint and the spoiler photos, and take it out / place it back quickly and stealthily.
The cache contains only a log sheet. Bring a pen with you.

＜水車と枡形について＞
西側（下入口）から馬籠宿に入っていくと、すぐに「車屋坂」と呼ばれる急坂を上ることになります。ただこれは後から付け替えられた道で、元々は左手の石段が本来の中山道でした。今ではほとんどの人が車屋坂を歩きますが、私は石段の方をお勧めします。石段の途中には水車があって、馬籠宿によい雰囲気を添えています。
石段の入口と途中には直角に曲がる角があります。このような宿駅の曲がり角を枡形といいます。人為的に設けられたもので、その目的は警備上、宿場の中心部（＝本陣周辺）を直線的に見通せないようにするため、と言われています。
＜キャッシュについて＞
キャッシュは、この石段の上の方の途中に隠しました。この辺りは観光客でいつも非常に混雑していますので、ヒントとスポイラー写真をよく研究した後、マグルに注意しつつ、素早くかつこっそりと取り出し／戻してください。
