This bridge on the corner of Withers Way connects the Eltham High School to Main Road, Eltham. It is an interesting walk to Main Road along what looks like a quaint little country lane, ending at an old cottage.
Depending on the water flow it looks like a small creek, and sometimes barely flows. But after nearby rain the water rises and flows quickly, and then returns to a trickle within a day or 2. It's hard to imagine but the original bridge was damaged when flooded in 2004 and 2005. The old concrete buttresses can be seen below the bridge on the west side.
