Any casual summer visitor to Greytown's ionic Settlers Reserve could only be captivated by the sound of "the twack of leather on willow" as members of the local sports elite attempt to drive a little red ball to any of the four corners of the compass.

In winter time the same distinguished athletes may be encountered as they try to stroke an inflated pigs' bladder into goals positioned throughout the reserve.

For those who are hot, flushed or could benefit from a cooling plunge the local memorial swimming baths is open during daylight hours in the summer.

For the refined and more delicate, every Sunday afternoon the local croquet club has its "club day" and visitors are most welcome. ( Please bring your own wine).
