The Belfast Travel Bug Airport is a regular sized geocache hidden at Knocknagoney Linear Park close to Belfast City Airport. There are 3 main sections of the cache, Logbook and Notes, Gifts and the Travel Bug Airport. The Travel Bug Airport section is then split into 8 different compartments:
- Ireland
- Other Mission or Goal
- North America
- South America
- Europe
- Asia
- Oceania
- Africa
The name of each compartment is on the back of the Airport section. Depending on where the Trackable’s mission is to or what destination you are heading for simply drop off or pick up some from one of these compartments. You can stop off at it sometime before your journey, drop them off anytime or simply just visit the cache, sign the logbook and trade some gifts. Don’t feel you have to drop off or pick up a Trackable! The aim of this geocache is to help Trackables travel across the world and get them to complete their mission!
Knocknagoney Linear Park is just off the top of the Holywood Road, near Tesco Knocknagoney, Knocknagoney Primary School and Belfast City Airport. It has parking facilities but if you are travelling by bus from Belfast City Centre, take Metro No.3 and 29.
Notes and Instructions:
Beware of muggles who may be in the park as the cache is in a forest area but is hidden from view of the cars on the Holywood Road.
If you take a gift please put another one in that has the same or greater value. There should be 6 gifts (or more) in the cache. Thanks.
Please put the cache back EXACTLY as found with as many leaves and branches as possible to cover it.
Incase you are worried that some muggles in the flats may notice some suspicious activity happening in the forest across from them I checked to see if I could see anybody and the flats seemed to be mostly empty. Anyway, many trees, branches, leaves and bushes block and protect the cache from their view.
I am now planning on making another geocache if I get over 10 favourites for this one!
Congratulations to sgtzara for being First to Find, First to Pick Up a Trackable and First to Drop Off a Trackable!
