With almost everything these days being disposable and made from plastic I decided to find some old containers and make use of these for our entertainment. I love to 'tinker' and the idea of fixing something and keeping it going for just a little longer makes me smile. So to use some of these old examples of 'tin' cans in the aid of fun hopefully will bring a smile to your face, at least it'll bring a 'smilie' to your profile.

Happy travelling.

Elastoplast

In 1856 Thomas James Smith, a druggist and cod liver oil merchant established a business to cod liver oil to supply British hospitals. Forty years later Horatio Nelson Smith (Thomas Smith’s nephew) joined the business and brought with him knowledge of the textiles industry: Smith & Nephew was formed.

In 1928 the world's first self-adhesive dressing; Elastoplast was launched. Manufactured in Kingston upon Hull, United Kingdom, Elastoplast became one of Britain’s best-known brands.
