The Great Anabranch of the Darling River meanders 480 kilometers ( 300 Miles) between the Darling & the South Australian border. The original wooden bridge was built in 1867, the 1st traffic passed over 7 months later, it cost 1,700 pounds to erect. The new bridge was commissioned in February 2003 and cost $1.3 million. This is a great spot to go for Yabbies, and while you are there just check out the size of the Gum tree trunks here too, wonder how old they are ?
