Freeways are no great boon for cyclists but one benefit that often arises with the construction of a freeway is that a bike path may also be constructed to follow the freeway. This cache is located above the Metropolitan Ring Road and joins onto the path along the Greensborough Highway.
The cycle/walk path is best accessed from the south from the footbridge over the Ring Road at the end of Macorna Street. From the other side of the freeway the path is accessed from Eastgate Drive, at the end of the footbridge. It is a short pleasant walk along a sealed path to the cache but of course even better on a bike.
. Congratulations to Archie B1 and B2 for FTF
Construction of the North-east link has forced closure of the location so moved to a nearby location which is not fenced off
