Playing by the Rules
The team for the affirmative.
From March 28 – April 7, geocachers around the world will join together to celebrate the people in their community who make geocaching possible. We call this celebration Maker Madness.
To assist you with getting your cache hides published Tchingal invites you to come along to a presentation on caching guidelines where you can get some ideas on how to streamline your caching submission and build on your knowledge of the geocaching guidelines.
When a cache listing is enabled for publication two tick 2 boxes are selected to say you have understood the terms of use and guidelines and yet lots of caches end up being returned to their owners and don't get published on their first submission.
Here is your chance to hear what some of those common problems are and to discuss cache Proximity and the different types of caches and waypoints.
Join the South Australian Reviewer for an evening of discussion on Geocaching guidelines where we can talk about common problems like is it ok to scar a tree for life, can I nail stuff into buildings and why cant I dig a pit in the ground to hide my cache and all those other questions that arise when setting up a cache for publishing.
New event guidelines came into play on the 28th January this year and recently a new cache submission process has been rolled out by Groundspeak and we can talk about those as well
We will also discuss creative hides and how to place them without breaking the guidelines but rather playing by the rules.
Hopefully we can have lots of crowd participation with wonderful ideas about how to hide a cache according to the guidelines that people will be inspired to go away and try.
There will be an official completion certificate for guests who complete this Maker Madness event.
