The original Be Gentle on Annie cache was destroyed when the Bull Dozer came through fixing up the tracks and took GZ to some where unknown, micaparamedic found the ammo tin destroyed but with a note from the dozer driver saying "Sorry I broke your tin".
Team Oaky kindly replaced the cache but it was also muggled so we have moved it to an entirely new location and have re-listed it so as previous finders can have an excuse to return.
This is now the third of a four cache series. The others are:
The Beginning
The Rocky Bit
Homeward Bound
This leg is the easiest of the three legs and should pose no problems in the dry but can become difficult if wet.
As usual please check for yourself.
After leaving GC1CT3M "The Rocky Bit" drive to the top of the hill and park your vehicle near the trig on your left. From here it's an easy short walk to the cache and a good view through the new undergrowth.
The Car Park From Near GZ in 2008.
The parking spot 9 months after the Black Saturday fires. November 2009
Mr Coffee walking on old track with recenty dozed track to his left, 2013
This series was designed to be a loop track back to the highway. When dry the decent is easy but if it is wet please think carefully before heading down unless you enjoy very slippery steep down hill runs and have recovery gear and experience with using it.
The area is much better since the dozer went through but please use common sense.
In the dry it is a easy drive down with some great views of the surrounding country side,
But Slippery When Wet.
