This is an easy find in an old church cemetery for all the geneaology nuts out there!

 
 

Some Historical Background

Original Church Building

The church was established in 1876, with the original bell and pulpit coming from St Mark's in Remuera. The original building was destroyed by an arsonist, who claimed he was on a mission from Satan, if I recall correctly. The current building was completed soon after and opened for worship in 1998. 

One Jesse Davis died in 1863, leaving a widow and 3 children. Phoebe, the widow, is also buried with Jesse even after all the years that had passed since his death. He drowned after a taking a boat down river to Pahi, and then deciding to return in the bad weather. On top of that, he had loaded up the boat with shells to use as lime fertilizer. An overloaded boat and the weather were the cause of the sinking, and so, the death of Jesse and a younger mate. The news made papers all over the North Island, including in Wellington.

You are looking for a black camo'd 4-lock container with some swappables and a log and pen. It has enough space to take some small Travel Bugs and geocoins. Please put the cache back well-hidden from view. You may not need to enter the plot, but long arms are an advantage.
