Rock 'N' Roll......
Starting at the carpark for the Old Cemetery for Alexandra, the Lake Roxburgh Walkway heads off down the lake for about 9km. This walk varies from comfortable (for the first 4km to Butchers Point) to more challenging for the remainder to Doctors Point.
The good news is that this cache is within the first 10 minutes of the walkway, and is an easy walk/bike for all ages. As the name would suggest, you are looking for a very large rock on the river side of the track. Don't worry, you can't miss it! To get to the cache, there are various routes ranging from child-like to mountain goat. There is a fair amount of barley grass (sorry) and just watch your children at the cache spot, as there is a drop nearby.
The cache should be easy to find if you make the effort. Then you can "roll" on down the track for pleasant views of the river and wonderful environs.
When set up, the 450ml sistema cache had a log book, pen and various goodies for the little ones.
