The original scheme envisaged the line built from Queen's Quay in Belfast to the towns of Holywood, Comber, Newtownards, Bangor via Conlig, Donaghadee, Killinchy, Killyleagh and Downpatrick.
The Comber Greenway now follows the track from Belfast to Comber and there are numerous Caches on the route, and the Bypass around Comber is built on the old trackbed.
Comber station is now a Fire/Ambulance station.
The line then branched to Newtownards and onwards to Donaghadee. There is little trace of the line between Comber and Newtownards at ground level, there is still some track at the level crossing on the Ballyhenry Road and the bridge at GZ is intact, but I defy anything to get under it!!
If you look on Google Earth, the line can be easily followed from Belfast to Donaghadee, although the branch through Ballygowan and on to Downpatrick is not so easily seen.

This hopefully is the first in a series of Caches on or near what remains of the bridges between Comber and Donahadee (And indeed any other part of the line)
There are already a few Caches associated with the line in Comber and Newtownards and my own in Donaghadee (Railroaded GC1B66) but nothing between the towns.
The Cache is a Micro with just a log, so bring a pen.
