This small sized cache is hidden along a lovely walking track at Meadowvale Nature Park.
Meadowvale Nature Park is a beautiful and diverse native ecosystem which supports a number of rare and vulnerable plant species. It is located approximately 10 minutes from Bundaberg City with access via Rosedale Road. Meadowvale Nature Park encompasses approximately 63 hectares and provides vital terrestrial and aquatic habitat to native flora and fauna. The area is relatively untouched, consisting of reparian vegetation along Splitter's Creek, rainforest, open eucalypt forest areas and a band of wallum country. Splitters Creek also provides crucial habitat to the famously shy Platypus (Omithorhynchus anatinus). Platypus love the deep water in this part of the Creek and the banks are perfect their burrows. Platypus ripples can often be seen on the creek at dawn and dusk, provided you are quiet and patient. Meadowvale Nature Park has a very welcoming picnic area with picnic tables, toilet facilities and parking.
The cache is a small sized "container" with log only (no room for swaps). You will need to BYO pen or pencil. The cache is located just off to the side of the dark blue 1km walking track. There is a sign at the start of the track with a map illustrating the length and directions of the park's four walking tracks. There are 2 x 1km, 1 x 2.8km and 1 x 3.9km tracks (all are colour coded) The tracks take you through a wide variety of the vegetation types in the park.
Congratulations to the AG's for being First To Find! Well done Trish! Happy Caching!
