Geocache Description:

On weekends and holidays please be aware of muggles in the Marine Rescue Building close by. Please replace the cache exactly where you found it.

Beautiful Alva beach is too nice a spot to not have a cache. This is an easy find for visitors from near and far so enjoy what there is to offer - fishing, crabbing and bird watching. You may enjoy a trip out to visit the site where the S.S. Yongala went down over 100 years ago. Over 100 lives were lost together with a Lincolnshire bull and a racehorse. Only the body of the racehorse was recovered. This is reported to be one of the top 10 dives in the world. Alva is also a very popular place for windsurfing and in 2011 hosted the Australian Kite Boarding Championships.
