The Otipua wetlands on the south side of the lower Saltwater Creek is well worth exploring. There is a great network of well formed gravel pathways which take the visitor to many vantage spots to observe the plentiful waterfowl and native plants.
The Fay Wing Memorial Walkway commemorates Fay who was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Timaru Wanderers Walk Group.
The cache is in a grove of cabbage tress near the plaque at the start of the track. The cache is a 200 ml sistema container with logbook and pencil.
