There were 20 or more schools around the Cohuna area.
Some were only open for a short time, some moved to different sites and some moved to another school.
Seven of these schools consolidated and became Cohuna Consolidated Higher Elementary School.
This school was known as McMillans School but was first called Barr Creek Cullen School.
It opened on 12th February 1877.
The school later moved to McMillans Road in 1829.
The name changed in 1910 to McMillans School.

McMillans School closed on 9th April 1948.
And Consolidated.
The 24 pupils transferred to Cohuna Higher Elementary School.
This school became Cohuna Consolidated Higher Elementary School.
The cache is now a keyholder BYO Pen
Park well off the road. Beware of cars,muggles and snakes.
