Plastic screw top container beside roadside in rural area.
The purpose of this cache is to show you a little more of an area some of us Coast Cachers love. First you take Flying Fox Road and then Little Flying Fox Road. But you won't necessarily see any flying foxes, big or little, in the daytime. For that experience visit my geocache further down the Beechmont Road at "A Witheren Look".
The road takes you through a valley on an unsealed road (but not 4WD) where you may see wallabies near the creek running along on the western side and look up at pretty green hills to the east. At the corner you may see some interesting cattle, and not far along the road is a family of little ground dwelling birds who dart in and out of the grass so drive slowly and you may catch a glimpse.
The road ends further along, but it is possible to walk, with permission, even further up into the hills. There is something magic about climbing up a valley as the houses, and the road, thin out.
No houses visible from the cache site, except high up on western hill so just take a look up and around before retrieving the cache. Cache container should be visible if you look around.
One warning: I found a snake on a nearby road on one of my visits. Dead on the road, but it probably has relatives still living in the area. Grass around the cache site appears to have been treated with weedkiller or some such chemical. Wear suitable footwear and stamp your feet as you approach.
Congrats to Aussie Liahona on the FTF, and thanks for the great photos. That's what I hoped cachers would find out here.
