Geocache Description:

This is what the sign at the walk says: The walkway is a distance of 4.7 kilometres, with an average walking time of 1½ hours (3 hours return). The terrain varies from easy walking to backcountry trekking with stile crossing. In some areas the track has been benched and steps constructed through the gorge area. Hazards such as waterfalls, electric fences and livestock may be encountered on this walkway.

This cache is located just outside of Putararu. Park car at 38.01.195 175.48.811 track is easily marked, the cache is located about halfway along the walk, and should be easy to find. It is placed next to some rapids, and is slightly covered with foliage, be careful when looking as if you slip you will be in the water. Make sure to take a raincoat if the weather doesn't look good, or you will get totally soaked as i did.
