The cache is located approximately half way along the recently constructed Wallsend to Glendale Rail Trail.
As the name suggests the cycle path follows the old Wallsend to West Wallsend train line built in 1910 to transport coal into Newcastle. The line was quite accident prone and was involved in the death of at least three people. It also ran at a lost and was closed only 20 years after opening.
As the title suggests the cache is best accessed on your bike. The cycle path has a gentle 3% grade perfect for bikes and old steam locomotives. Once you get to the top its a great coast down the other side. You can access the cycle path near the entrance to Glendale Tafe or from Ganney Rd, Wallsend. Be careful of muggles when searching for the cache as they can sneak up on their silent bicycles. Ive made the hide tricky and unique, as I didnt want it to get muggled or burnt out due to local fire bugs. I suggest you do your homework on the hint before heading of as its a long way back if you dont find it.
Cache is a 200ml sistema container. Please bring your own pen.
