Geocache Description:

From 1846 - 1873 this was the final resting place of over 300 Convicts from the Launceston area, with records showing at times 5 to 6 buried deep in unconsecrated ground.

A memorial is being developed with all the convict names eventually being inscribed into a brick pathway around the site

While you enjoy the views of South Launceston and up the Tamar valley, take a moment to reflect on the wretched lives these poor people would have had.

There are two roads into the site from Westbury Road. You are looking for a Nano.
