Leura Golf Course is famous throughout NSW for its beautiful views of the Blue Mountains.
And the most famous view is from the 14th green, overlooking the Jamison Valley and Korowal, the sacred mountain also known as Mt. Solitary.
Cliff Drive in Leura is where you can get the same view as from the 14th green, without entering the golf course itself. You'll see the flag on the green on your left as you approach, and the magnificent view will be on your right.
The geocache isn't hidden on the Leura Golf Course itself. Please don't go over the fence to search.
We locals (I live very near this place) do walk unobtrusively and carefully along the edges of the Leura Golf Course from time to time, usually very early in the morning or very late in the afternoon, but we always stay completely out of the way of the golfers. So please treat the Leura Golf Course as private property.
Of course, you can head up Sublime Point Road to the Fairmont Resort and find the Club House and Pro Shop if you'd like to play an enjoyable round of golf! Highly recommended.
There's also a restaurant/cafe there, and an entry to the National Park behind the Fairmont Resort.
This cache placement isn't really wheelchair accessible. The ground at GZ is probably a bit too rough.
