Reached the trig. Time for a cuppa? (Whangaruru) Traditional Cache
robertot: Looks like the lobbing missing the mark and we could now find no sign of the cache when we passed by on our annual transit. Probably won't pass by for another year and didn't bring a fresh one so we'll archive it .

This is placed near the trig above Admirals Bay, North Head, Whangaruru. It is along the track which leaves from the DOC camp at Puriri Bay. It's a loop track which either returns to the camp after 1 3/4 hours or continues towards Bland Bay and takes 3 hours return. There are 500 steps on the loop!!! Going just to the trig and back down the same track would avoid the steps and take less than an hour but would be much less interesting.
As with many of our caches it was placed in the company of the Whangaruru Tramping Group.
Fabulous views and pleasant bush are guaranteed. Did I mention the 500 steps?
The container is a green covered berocca tube containing the log and pen.
Upon reaching the trig and after you've studied the pole with the geodetic survey mark A964 head off at 200 degrees with your cup.
