Cache is located near Lathams Track. Parking can be at either end of the track at (S37° 59.897 E176° 52.453) or at the Awakeri Hot Pools car park (S38° 00.339 E176° 51.632). The former may be a longer walk but easier going. Starting at the hot pools will be shorter but a very steep climb & not as nice a walk.
Lathams Track passes through farmland owned by the Latham family, please be aware of stock & leave gates as you find them. Please stay on the track its easy to follow as its well marked.
Container is a .50cal ammo can.
Bring a camera for the great views to be had from the trig.
