Woof woof, Rover's gone off-road.
Come for a drive down Ihumatao road, it leads directly to Manukau Harbour and is mainly a gravel road past the turn off for Oruarangi road. Plenty of rockpools to explore and at low tide you can walk out onto the harbour flats to do a bit of shellfish collecting. Its also a place to start a days walking in the Otuataua stonefields (you can also access them from the neary Ihumatao Quarry Road). Half way down Ihumatao road you'l find a gate which must be opened and closed to continue. The council locks this gate in the evening but you could still walk down at any hour, though there's absolutely no lighting so I wouldn't suggest it late at night.
You are hunting for a 1L sistema container, hidden using local natural camo, replace carefully as found and look out for muggles up and down the road. The cache contains a logbook, pencil and swaps at time of placement. Careful near the fence, it gets very ruff, sorry rough and prickly.
