Pangarang Lookout is an easy 3km return walk or bike ride which begins at Ferris road and offers great panoramic views to the west.
In my younger days I used to drive out here but now the track is closed off so you will have to walk, or ride your bike if you prefer. (The Parks Vic website says you can!)
I remember well, coming out here with a group of young people from our church youth group and getting out to the lookout without any fuss but we all got badly bogged on the way back. We had to summon help from a farmer with a tractor which took hours, first to walk for help, then for help to arrive. (This was before mobile phones). Possibly a good thing the road is now closed!
In any case it is well worth the effort and I believe the location is among the best the Warbies has to offer.
Please rehide the cache well as it's close to the small track where people ascend the hill.
