On my 13th Birthday I’m hoping this is a lucky fast cache and dash for all passing geocachers. This was once part of the main Shore Road to Carrickfergus from Belfast. It is hard to believe how narrow this road was. Now it is very busy with a large roundabout and double lanes. You are only a few minutes from Hazlebank Park with lovely views over Belfast Lough to County Down and lovely walks.
Lucky Thirteen cache is hidden at head height in a tree, the cache is a small container larger than a film canister, but smaller than a tab box with a few small swaps including a geocache wristband. There is also a pencil and log. Please replace it in exactly the same spot and tighten the lid, thank you.
Lots of muggles pass here on the way to local schools and colleges and it is particularly busy in the mornings 8-9am and afternoons 3pm onwards, weekends are much quieter.
This cache is not suitable for wheelchair users as the short walk to the cache is over very uneven ground.
Coordinates for Hazelbank are N 54° 39.805 W 005° 54.165 if you would like to stop for a while.
