The ACT is a popular destination
for Geocachers due to the high density of caches in a relatively
small location, but the roads into or out of the ACT are relatively
sparsely populated with geocaches.
This series is being placed to
while away the tedium of the drive to Cooma – or, indeed, the
drive to Canberra and will supplement the existing caches in the
area.
This cache is at an old rest stop
on the outskirts of Canberra. Why it was decommissioned I do
not know, but it must have been interesting stopping here and
watching the southern suburbs of Canberra
grow.
The caches are designed to be
either South bound or
North bound caches. We
have placed these geocaches where there are safe areas to park, but
be careful rejoining the traffic.
This geocache is on the
LEFT hand side of the
road as you head towards Canberra. Please consider only
searching for this one if you are heading NORTH.
Good luck, and we hope you enjoy
this series of geocaches on the road to
Cooma.
