Geocache Description:


This one should be an easy drive by. The view is quite different from my other VIEW3 caches as this one will show great views of the Great Western Line and also of the now defunct Canyon Colliery branch line (now being dismantled). Both tracks run deep into the rock and are crossed by 2 bridges from these you will get a great view for trainspotting. Unfortunately there is no way further along the road as it is still private property and the gate is locked. Still the bridges are clear to use.
As an interesting bit of useless information the entire mine lease is completely surrounded by National Park, I guess they are waiting for the lease to expire to claim that as part of the park as well.
