This Geocache is situated on the first street in Brisbane to house the Bubonic Plague. The street was barricaded off, houses fumigated and bed linen burnt. People who did not survive the outbreak were wrapped in sheets, soaked in carbolic acid and had lime powder spread through their coffins.
Bubonic Plague kills 2/3 infected people and was considered to be the leading cause of the Black Death which killed more than 25 million people in Europe.
