This is a good spot to take a rest from driving. Shaded BBQ areas and toilets available.
There is a very interesting large display board full of information about when the original road was built and when it was up graded. They have left a portion of the old road either side of the sign for a comparison. When standing there I realised that the new road had been completed in 1992 however I had actually come through here over 20 years ago and drove the old road. I remember it well! Enjoy the history, a break from driving and of course the cache.
