Well Geocachers its third time lucky for me, but I hear you all say "third time lucky for what?"
Placing a cache and getting it all right.........
Here's how the story goes.
Cache NO.1 was in the middle of a farmers paddock and the farmer was not to happy about its presence. Its not real amusing to get an email from a puffed out geocacher who spent their afternoon running away from an irate farmer.
Cache No.2
Does the sound of incorrect co-ors send shivers down the spines of all you geocahers. Fortunately this did not result in some one falling off the top of a cliff or drowning in the middle of a lake. But it did end up sending a few people off on a wild goose chase. The goose turned out to be a nice tea towel with a picture of Neil Armstrong on it. Strange but true.
So its third time lucky with this cache.
This cache is the one removed from North Canberra Views.
The North Canberra Views site can be seen to the North West of this cache. There are 5 hills in a row progressively getting higher to the right. The highest is One Tree Hill, this was the old cache location.
From the new location there is a great view from the show grounds down to the city, so go on a nice day so you can fully appreciate the view.
Access can be gained to this cache by following the bushwalking trails that run up and along the range.
By the way if any one goes up with a digital camera could they take a shot of the orange whirly girlie thing on top of the mountain and up load the photo to the site. You will know what I'm taking about when you see it.
