Painted Rocks (Canterbury) Traditional Cache

Regular users of the mountain bike trail at McLeans Island will already know exactly where to stop and turn the GPS on.

The park includes a mountainbike-only trail and a walking/running track. They intersect at points but are generally kept separate from each other.

The cache is on the MTB-only trail, but is not far from where the trail meets the walking track at the new bridge and pond. If you choose to walk back along the MTB trail to find it, please ensure you keep an eye and an ear out for MTBers - do not use your ipod.

Painted Rocks is a 400ml grey Sistema container. You'll need to head off the track about 8-10 metres. If you have a bike, please ensure you've left it well off the track so trail users behind you don't find it in their way.
