Geocache Description:

The cache is a plastic small box. It contains a logbook and some miscellaneous items.

The cache is located in Denmans Cove off a track leading from the dunes on the beach. Access is via a bushwalking track via Stinky Bay or ideally by boat, waverunner, kayak, or canoe. A small beach which has great views over the water to the historic Penal Colony of Port Arthur. A great place for a picnic and a swim. Update 27/10/17 the start of the 3 Capes Walking Track is right near it! Once a very densely bushed private area is now very exposed to the new track. Please make sure you hide the cache well by putting it under some vegetation. After a recent trip Dec 2019 to check the cache it appears to have been moved or taken, which is really disappointing as my two young sons and I placed it there in 2010. Also gone is Excalibur's sword it appears to be have been broken off. Originally this was a densely bushed area with a decrepit fence and small ruins. In the middle of the ruins was a vertical steel rusty rod (Excalibur's Sword), with a loop at the top in it (it may have been used to hold a cooking pot), the origins of which are unknown. I have replaced the cache, however are unsure if the coordinates are correct. Please place the cache back where you found it.
