Corang cascades Traditional Cache
csfamily: Apologies to adventurers who have had problems with this cache: admittedly it was not a low-risk hide, and I can't get there to maintain it, so have decided to archive it.

A bonus find for anyone hiking into the Corang lagoon and
cascades.
When we were invited to go on a six-hour walk in the Morton
National Park and noticed there were no caches in the vicinity we
thought we should place one. The cache is actually located just
outside of the National Park. [Note there is no cache note because
we didn't get a chance to print one before we went. Anyone
venturing that way could put one in :).]
The cache container is a small Sistema container with log book,
pencil and a few trinkets. It was placed with minimal camouflage
but requires a bit of climbing to access. There are spoiler photos
below to help pinpoint the location, but if you are at the western
end of the cascades that run from the main (pre-cascades) lagoon
then you are in the right area.
The walk in took 3.5 hours, including a couple of stops (we had
late primary and high-school aged kids). Also posted is a waypoint
for a junction in the trail at about the halfway point - take the
left fork to continue to the river (the right fork heads up to
Corang Peak). The lagoon is suitable for swimming, and there is a
camping area (no facilities) adjacent. In general, a great area for
a picnic and couple of hours' water activity. This walk is popular
with walking clubs and many reports can be found by searching on
the term 'Corang lagoon' or 'Corang cascades'.
