Geocache Description:

Don't disturb the Scrub Turkey Nest.

This cache is placed on public land HOWEVER it may appear that you are entering private land. The close by landowner is aware of this cache and has given permission for pedestrian access. Please park across the road at the monument.

I have placed this cache in memory of my Mother Constance and my Grandparents Jim and Julia. The McClelland family spent many holidays at Munro's Camp during the 1920's and 1930's. They originally using pack horses to gain access to this very scenic and cool spot for their Christmas Holidays.

Please enjoy you short stroll in the rainforest - there is a fine example of a Morten Bay Fig near by. Views across Bunya Pines and Hoop Pines give a clear view of Tarong Power House and across the road you can access a 2km walk through Russell Park. At the end of this walk you can find a fine example of a timber slide used in the days of logging.
