Vehicles (including motorbikes) and horses are not permitted in the park.
I would recommend that you check out both these caches GC1X979 ....and Cleo (im) patra and GC1DXCE Mt Sugarloaf as they have a great deal of information in their cache notes.
As per the Parks Victoria Notes if you have an emergency help can be contacted by dialling 112 and pressing the YES button if you have no reception.
Do not attempt these caches if it a declared day as all walks into the bush should be cancelled due to the dangers of being in a very remote area on these days.
Tell someone your movements before you leave and if possible have a partner to go on these walks.
The aim of this cache is to allow you to find three caches that are off the beaten track in the Pyrete Range (part of the Lerderderg State Park). As this is a catchment area the only access is by foot or mountain bikes.
Other Caches in the area:
BE PREPARED
- Take plenty to drink.
- Something to nibble on.
- Comfortable Footwear.
- Plot the location where you park your cache mobile.
- Take the cache notes with you.

Drive through the gate where the letter boxes are lined up. (See image) For caches A, B & this cache there is a parking area outside a locked gate and this is your starting point. Gates are designed to allow you and your bike to pass. (STAGE1) S37 34.958 E144 30.431
“C” can be approached from another location, see it’s cache notes.
Simply start at STAGE1 (Parking Area) and follow the WPTs to the caches A B & this cache. Only attempt C if you’re very fit from this location.
Thanks to vp4 and vk3jap for their help in setting up these cache notes and this cache.
